Practical tips you can apply right away:
Check the agreements about sound. Discuss them with your group.
On arrival, go over the rules with the site manager.
For every activity, ask yourself if amplified sound is really needed.
Limit the duration of amplified music. Do not keep your speakers on all day.
Do not point your speakers towards neighbours and pay attention to sound reflecting off walls.
Keep windows and doors closed when playing sound indoors.
Do a short sound check outside regularly. How does it sound there?
Speak up when it gets too loud.
