At ‘t Schipken, you dive under the sheets in a charming converted farmhouse. The comfortable youth hostel is located on the banks of the Dender and is part of the provincial domain De Gavers. So you can romp around and play sports to your heart's content, with numerous recreational facilities such as a swimming pool, playground, play forest, fishing pond, beach area, climbing tower, mini-golf, laser shoot, water sports ... Ideal for a short group or family holiday with children!
Had enough exploring on the domain? Then explore the beautiful region of the Flemish Ardennes and the Dender valley by bike or on foot. For cycling fans the famous Muur van Geraardsbergen is of course a must. The historic city centre of Geraardsbergen is also worth a visit.... and don't forget those delicious mattentaarten!
There are 2 buildings and 1 camp site for groups:
- The heron (42 beds) in the charming old farmhouse.
- The frog (62 beds) in the modern building.
- Camp site for groups of 20 to 60 people
