Youth hostel ‘t Schipken and its camp site are located in a quiet corner of provincial domain De Gavers in Geraardsbergen. Along the banks of the Dender.
The camp site consists of a tent site and grassy field for groups of 20 to 60 people. Toilets and showers are available.
You can romp around and play sports to your heart's content, with plenty of recreational facilities such as a swimming pool, playground, play forest, fishing pond, beach area, climbing tower, mini-golf, laser shoot, water sports ...
Had enough exploring on the domain? Then explore the beautiful region of the Flemish Ardennes and the Dender valley by bike or on foot. For cycling fans the famous Muur of Geraardsbergen is a must. The historic city centre of Geraardsbergen is also worth a visit.... and don't forget those delicious mattentaarten!
Apart from the camp site, there are also 2 buildings in the youth hostel ‘t Schipken:
- The Heron (42 beds) in the charming old farmhouse.
- The frog (62 beds) in the modern building.
