Merkenveld is the perfect combination of indoor and outdoor space, with plenty of possibilities. A peaceful and wooded environment, a cosy courtyard, the adventure pond, a warm welcome, service with a smile... everyone feels at home.
This beautiful youth accommodation in West Flanders brings you to the rural municipality of Loppem. Ideal for a trip to Bruges and the coast, but there is also plenty to do on site.
The youth accommodation has 20 ha of play forest at its disposal, 10 ha of camping meadow and borders 70 ha of nature reserve.
You can stay with us on full board or cook for yourself. We have a dining hall Fourage where 180 people can eat.
On the grounds there is a (wheelchair) path connecting the building with all the important places on our estate. There are separate parking spaces for the disabled near the building, adapted outdoor sanitary facilities and a charging point to charge your electric wheelchair.
Merkenveld is easily accessible by bicycle, bus, car and train.

Chirumbero in Merkenveld
Merkenveld is een echte aanrader. Zeer ruime keuken, slaapkamers, toiletten, douches,... Er was op alles voorzien door de kampbaas, zoals brood, kampvuur, karren om materiaal te verslepen naar de kampeervelden, ... De keuken was zeer praktisch en er was veel materiaal aanwezig. Leuke omgeving/bos.
- Rustig ondanks de vele jeugdbewegingen
- Zeer grote slaapkamers, keuken, refter,...
- Kampbaas die er altijd was om je te helpen.
- Kleine parking
- Heel slecht bereik op de velden (moeilijk om hulpdiensten of elkaar te bereiken)
- Kampeerveld lag bij ons zeer ver van ons gebouw (we konden geen ander veld meer boeken)
