Description
Bivakhuis Hoge Duin is the collective name for 3 hip ecological and accessible stays within walking distance of the beach of Oostduinkerke.
With the adjacent dunes and the many sports and playgrounds, we are the ideal group stay!
Discover our 3 accommodations:
- The Ark, for groups up to 85 people
- The Sloop, for groups of up to 60 people
- The Cabin, for groups of up to 60 people
Our three self-cooking houses can be rented separately or together at competitive terms. Groups who do not wish to cook for themselves can call on a caterer for meals or have a meal in our adjacent youth accommodation Hoge Duin (according to availability, reservation required).
A stay in Bivouac Hoge Duin is possible for small groups, however, the larger the group, the lower the price per person.
We are proud bearers of the 'Green Key' and the accessibility label A+.
The Cabin and The Sloop

The Cabin and The Sloop are located on the second floor and has a total capacity of 120 people.

- 1 room for 9 persons

KITCHEN:
- 2 fully equipped kitchens, each with:
- refrigerator, freezer
- oven, microwave
- electric fire with 6 basins
- sufficient pots and pans, cutlery, plates and glasses
- brushes, squeegees and buckets
- towels, mops, laundry and cleaning products to be provided by yourself
FACILITIES:
- 2 dining rooms/ multipurpose room (can be converted into 1 large room)
- 1 first aid room/ office
- 4 bicycles with trailer available free of charge
- 2 sheds

Pracht locatie met alles op en aan. Zee en duinen vlakbij. Zeer netjes en al wat nodig is in de keuken is aanwezig
- heel goed onderhouden
- levering aan huis door bakker is makkelijk
- airco was pluspunt
Leuk verblijf!
Een goed gebouw voor een grote groep. Kamers en badkamers zijn netjes en goed ingericht. De keuken is groot, goed uitgerust maar kan een opfrisbeurt gebruiken. De eetzaal is helemaal ok.

- Gasvuur gaat moeilijk aan.
PROPERHEID
de locatie en gebouwen waren prima al was niet alles even proper. Verluchtingsrooster en dergelijke waren lang geleden gekuist. een afwasmachine is ook geen overbodige luxe indien zowel de sloep als de kajuit gebruikt.

Fantastische locatie
Heel goed gelegen verblijf, in de duinen, veel groen, ruimte om te spelen. Op wandelafstand van het strand. Bakker komt bestelling brengen, heel handig.

Animatorweekend Zonnestraal
We werd vlot en warm onthaald. Het was wat manoeuvreren met onze bestelwagen. Zelf waren we aandachtig voor geluidsoverlast. Itt de muziekgroep onder ons, die speelde van 22u-4u. Als hun zaal niet onder onze zaal was, dan was dit beter geweest. Kuisen ging vlot. Vertrek verliep eerlijk.
- Wandelafstand van het strand.
- Proper en makkelijk te onderhouden, vlotte service en eerlijke afhandeling.
- Keuken heeft voldoende faciliteiten.
- Hinder van de groep onder ons: Onder onze slaapkamers zat de zaal van een luide muziekgroep.
- Koffiezet was binnenin beschimmeld, maar werd vervangen door uitbater

Als er geluidshinder is van een van de buren raden wij aan om even te gaan praten met hen. Meestal helpt dit al. Mocht de hinder toch aanhouden mag de conciërge altijd verwittigd worden. Die zal de groep dan met aandrang vragen om de regels rond nachtlawaai te respecteren. Dit is een tip naar de toekomst toe.

Mooie kampplaats
Toffe locatie, directe toegang tot de duinen, op wandelafstand van de zee. Ruime lokalen en goed uitgeruste keuken.
- Bakker die het brood brengt op de locatie.
- Toffe locatie, directe toegang tot de duinen.
- Weinig hinder van andere groepen die in de aansluitende gebouwen verbleven.
- De ruimtes leken op het eerste zicht heel netjes, de hoekjes waren ze vergeten.
